The Kanker District is situated in the southern region of the state Chhattisgarh. Previously Kanker was a part of old Bastar district. But in 1999 Kanker got it's identity as an independent district. Now it is surrounded by four districts of Chhattisgarh state, namely Bastar, Dhamtari, Durg and Rajnandgaon.

Force3 India:
At Kanker Forest Department, at the level of DFO, in March 2004, to June 2004, we did a pilot testing of connecting 3 remote locations on wireless LAN (local area network) and successfully completed the testing work Paper less working on Document Management System.

In my 10 days working at this location, with Mr. Avinash Chauraisa and Sachin, I came across to the real sense of Rural India. A Person is coming from 10 KM on cycle to submit a one page report, which I can be easily transmitted over the wireless network or on telephone key in. One only needs an Interactive Voice Response System Application for it.

Any ways, it was a great experience and learning too.
